Space Flights
STATE OF PLAY At present, only Space Adventures flies paying passengers into space, costing about $US20m. Virgin Galactic is now taking bookings for space flights scheduled to start in 2009. Cost is $US200,000. Xcor says it will offer $US100,000 space flights starting about 2010 . Astrium may offer space flights about 2012, costing $288,000.
